More about Maintenance of NDC Accreditation
What does STANDARD Maintenance of NDC Accreditation require?
-
Annual membership renewal (even though upskilling responsibilities are in three year cycles). The cost of membership renewal will be the same every 12 months, regardless of which level of engagement in Maintenance you choose. We've tried to keep the fees as low as possible, even though the educational and clinical resources and opportunities available to you remain extensive.
-
Self-paced upskilling:
Recommended minimum over 3 years
- Attendance at 2 x Live Network Hours
- Attendance at 1 x Clinical Demonstration
- 12 hours content engagement from
- The parent products (under development)
- Sleep, Baby & You
- Resource Hub
- In The NDC Network (by making contributions in the closed chat group).
Please record this self-paced learning in your Activity log. Of course, you are invited to engage more than this minimum standard if you'd like to, but we understand that upskilling needs are dynamic in busy professional lives.
Please note: if you're Australian, STANDARD Maintenance doesn't have CPD points available with the Australian Colleges, unlike Masterclasses & Accreditation. You can always self-submit from your recorded hours in your Activity log though.

What other your options for participating in Maintenance?
You might be interested in two other ways of engaging with NDC Maintenance, which are discretionary, and which also attract CPD points with three Australian Colleges. You don't need to let us know before you begin, but for these two options, when you fill out the Evaluations at the end, our Education Manager is automatically notified that you've completed, and she will do any Australian College uploading that is necessary for you to receive your CPD points. You'll also be able to access Statements of Attendance for you to submit to international Colleges for CPD points.
Maintenance by AUDIT
An audit uses data (written cases and your written reflections) to evaluate the effectiveness of your clinical practice and to ensure quality and safety of patient care, as you deliver the NDC programs to parents with babies or toddlers.
An AUDIT template form follows this article in Module 1. You'll need to fill this form out five times, over a maximum three year period. These forms are for your own records and don't need to be submitted.
In addition to annual membership renewal, Maintenance of NDC Accreditation by AUDIT over a three year cycle requires
- Audits of 5-10 mother-baby pairs whom you've seen in your practice
- Attendance at 2 x Live Network Hours over the three year cycle (minimum)
- Attendance at 1 x Clinical Demonstration over the three year cycle (minimum)
- 8 hours of self-paced learning, from either
- The parent products (under development)
- Sleep, Baby & You
- Resource Hub.
This comes to a total of 15 hours over the three years. Again, you can do more than that if you want to, of course!
If you are an Australian GP, Maintenance by AUDIT gives you 5 x Measuring Outcomes points, and 5 x Reviewing Performance points with the RACGP – (a total of 10 CPD points associated with the AUDIT NDC Maintenance Pathway). After you've submitted your evaluation of the AUDIT, please email our Education Manager Cath Proberts at education@pameladouglas.com.au to let her know you are completed. Once she receives your email, Cath will then upload your CPD points to the RACGP.
