Time commitment

  • Estimate each module 3 hours in total (as you will have already completed a lot of the relevant material in PBL Basics and Intermediate + resource hub). Some will be more, others less, but we anticipate this as average. This includes

  • Guest speaker presentations and presentations by Pam

  • Monthly online class time available as recordings, including attendance 'live online' of six

  • Complete at your own pace over 5 year period

You've already invested

  • 75 hours in Masterclasses (25 hrs) +

  • NDC Accreditation (50 hrs), so

  • Total time investment to become an NDC Lactation Fellow = 165 hours (Masterclasses, NDC Accreditation, Lactation Fellowship).

Intended course development ongoing between Feb & July 2026

  • Development of all MCQ assessments

  • Development of learning outcomes

  • Content summaries (this will be gradual over the next year or so)

  • Peer group learning & support

  • Updating of syllabus (calendar, course guide etc) to accommodate transition from Interim Lactation Fellowship to 2026 Lactation Fellowship

  • Guest speakers for second half of 2026 & 2027 (schedule for 2026 guest speakers completed)

  • Graduation of first cohort of early adopters mid-2026
